Songs We Sang: July 17, 2011

TEXAS VACATION & ANNIVERSARY: Today is Monday, July 18 and my family and I just arrived in Texas, and when we stepped off the plane this afternoon the heat index was 107. That’s a far cry from the 75 degrees we had just yesterday in Northern California. Anyways, I am looking forward to spending time with my wife’s family and celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow. That’s right, Ann and I have been married 25 years. What a special woman I have as a wife and friend. Happy Anniversary, Ann!

Below are the songs we sang this past Sunday. I pray you will find these encouraging and helpful for private worship or helpful in the ministry the Lord has given you to lead if you are a worship leader.

MEMORY PASSAGE:
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.  If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?  And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?  No servant can serve two masters, for he will either hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and money.”  Luke 16:10-13 ESV

SCRIPTURE READING:  Psalm 16
